PROPELLER DIAMETER: 1600 – 1730mm

Electromechanical constant-speed propeller

The electromechanical inflight variable propellers are produced in 2 and 3 blades configuration, useful for engines with power up-to 115 HP. Optionally they can be equipped by the feathering capability. The pitch-change mechanism is equipped by a high speed reliable servomechanism.

The single-piece propeller hub is made of forged high quality aluminum alloy. It is corrosion protected. The propeller structure is simple, light and free of unnecessary complexity. The balancing weights are installed onto the spinner backplate.

Most of our blades are of the wood-composite design with the high quality wooden core and fiber reinforced composite shell. The root section is made of compression treated laminated beech wood whose strength properties are comparable with high-strength aluminum alloys. The outer section of the blade is made of light laminated spruce wood.

The wooden core is strengthen by layers of composite with glass, carbon or aramid fiber reinforcement. The blade root is connected to the aluminum sleeve using special screws. The blade pitch angle is set by an eccentric pin installed at the bottom of the sleeve. Counter-weights can be installed onto the blade sleeves to contribute to the desired development of control forces of the propeller control system.

The critical outer section of the blade leading edge is protected optionally by wear resistant cast polyurethane or stainless steel. The inner section of the leading edge is protected by a self-adhesive PU tape. Both contribute to the operability of the propeller in difficult climatic conditions.

The spinner dome is made as a single-piece composite part. It is light and resistant to the crack growth.

Two control units are available for the propeller control: The WP-01 unit for the manual control.

The CS-5 unit with the mode of the automatic control regime (constant-speed) and with the mode of the manual control.

MECHANIC VARIABLE PITCH PROPELLER VAR 2 BLADED
PROPELLER DIAMETER: 1600mm and 1700mm
APPLICATION: ROTAX engines – MAX. 100HP

Featherable option available

PROPELLER BLADES - CONSTRUCTIONAL AND DESIGN
In-flight variable mechanically controlled propellers (optionally constant-speed)
In-flight variable mechanically controlled propellers are produced in 2 and 3 blades configuration, useful for engines with power up-to 100 HP.
The propellers are useful for engines with a gearbox.
Optionally they can be equipped by the feathering capability.
A reliable electric servomechanism is available as an option. The propeller equipped by the servomechanism may work on the constant speed principle.
The single-piece propeller hub is made of forged high quality aluminum alloy. It is corrosion protected.
The propeller blades are made of fiber reinforced composites, with the central cavity filled by special distant tissue of new generation. The whole creates an excellent sandwich construction.
Torque and centrifugal forces are transmitted to the propeller hub by means of the main load carrying element, a specially shaped composite tube which connects the blade retention element with the blade body.
The propeller structure is simple, light and free of unnecessary complexity.
The balancing weights are installed onto the spinner backplate.
The blade pitch angle is set by an eccentric pin installed at the bottom of the sleeve.
The propeller spinner is made as a single-piece composite part. It is light and resistant to the crack growth.
The accurate propeller blade angle control is provided by means of a yoke mechanism. The blade movement is smooth, free of clearances and vibrations.
The mechanism is equipped by the basic blade pith stop for the take-off, climbing and landing-on working regimes. Another blade pitch stop is included for the maximum blade angle corresponding to the maximum flight velocity. The two pitch stops eliminate passible pilot’s errors when hurried inaccurately controls the propeller blade setting.
The use of a single-acting pull-rope control system of the propeller hub is an important safety element. In the case of the blade pitch control failure (rapture of the rope) the propeller automatically moves the blades to the basic pitch stop adjusted for the take-off, maximum climbing and landing-on working conditions.
Optionally three control mechanisms are available:
Bowden cable lever mechanism with a crank Manually controlled servomechanism.
The CS-5 governor with the servomechanism capable to work in the constant speed mode, with the mode of the manual control.
