The SR 3000/ 2J is a twin blade, electrical, in flight adjustable propeller of mixed construction, intended for the engines:
JABIRU 2200 and similar
For possible use with any other engine type - consult the propeller producer.
The pitch angle of the blades is adjusted by means of an electrical servomotor, controlled from the cockpit, and it can be smoothly changed in the range from minimum angle valid for take-off up to the maximum angle.
The system allows a range of adjustment of pitch angle of at least 20 degrees over the minimum angle (for example 10-30 degrees, or 14-34 degrees etc.)
The end positions of blade pitch adjustment are locked by three systems:
Main system
The main system is an electrical one. It operates when the end stop on the blade comes into contact with the end switch and closes it, which terminates the motion of blade at this angle.

To allow for the possibility of main system failure, the electric servomotor is provided with a duplicate end switch, for both fine and coarse end position.

Control:
Propeller control on the instrument panel
Constant Speed:
Optionally, the cockpit propeller control system can be supplemented with an electronic governor CS3 or CS4 . This enables the pilot to select the desired propeller RPM for climb and cruise phases of flight, and the regulator will then automatically adjust propeller pitch to maintain those RPM. In this case the propeller behaves as the constant speed propeller.
A switch is installed on the CS instrument to allow selection of manual or automatic/constant speed control of the propeller.
CS 3 controller
As an option, an additional device may be installed in the cockpit which allows selection of negative propeller pitch settings and thus REVERSE thrust. This allows additional braking or backwards motion on the ground.

FEATHERING regime
Optionally, the propeller can be equipped with feathering function, enabling complete feathering of the propeller in flight.
The SR 3000/2JM propeller can be used as a tractor and pusher.

PROPELLER BLADES – CONSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN:
1. WOOD-CARBON (BLACK) BLADES WITH PLASTIC LEADING EDGE.
For propeller blades with wooden core and carbon fibre surface, the leading edges of the blades are cast from highly resistant plastic material, that serves as protection against impacting sand, small stones, water and other effects, which may damage propeller blades. These blades are available for propeller diameter 1600mm and 1700mm.
2. WOOD-COMPOSITE (WHITE) BLADES WITH PLASTIC LEADING EDGE.
For propeller blades with wooden core and glass-laminated surface in white or black colour, the leading edges of the blades are cast from highly resistant plastic material, which serves as protection against impact of sand, small stones, water and other effects, which damage propeller blades. These blades are available for propeller diameter 1600mm and 1700mm.
AERODYNAMIC CONICAL SPINNERS FOR PROPELLERS

The aerodynamic spinners are produced of fiberglass. They are manufactured in five diameters:
The base of spinners is stiffened by means of special insertion.
